Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
OPAHREX is a free browser-based multiplayer fishing game. This page explains what we collect, why, and what we never do.
What we collect
- Account details. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account id, email address, name and profile picture. If you sign in with X, we receive your X user id, username and profile picture. If you register with email, we store your email address and a hashed password — we never store the password itself.
- Game data. Your in-game progress: level, coins, $OPAH balance, fish you caught, your referral code and who invited you.
- Technical data. Your IP address is used only to rate-limit sign-up attempts and stop automated abuse.
Why we collect it
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To show your name and avatar to other players inside the game.
- To keep your progress, your leaderboard position and your referrals.
- To contact you once about the launch, if you asked us to.
What we never do
- We never post, like, follow, reply or send messages on your behalf on X. We request read-only access.
- We never read your timeline, your followers, your email inbox, your files or your contacts.
- We never sell your data, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Where the data lives
Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Railway. Access is limited to the project owner. Sessions are kept in a secure, http-only cookie that expires after six months.
Your choices
Write to us and we will delete your account and all data tied to it. You can also disconnect the app at any time from your Google account settings or from your X account settings.
Children
OPAHREX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
